YGC Chairman, Ambassador Alfonso T. Yuchengco, has envisioned the Yuchengco Museum at RCBC Plaza in Makati City “to inspire people to appreciate art and nurture it as an instrument of peace and understanding.” The Yuchengco Museum opened its doors to the public in September 2005. The museum’s offerings focus on three different themes: Sino-Filipino Expressions that highlight the visual arts; Bridging Cultures, which showcases the rich and diverse cultural expressions from the Philippines, the region, and the world; and Design as Art Art as Design showing contemporary design excellence.
