RCBC Group’s Alay ni Rizal gives hope to Yolanda victims

In view of the recent onslaught of super typhoon Yolanda in the Visayas region, Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) Group and its employees gathered their resources for a donation drive.

Dubbed as Alay ni Rizal, RCBC’s campaign was launched immediately after the super typhoon hit the country. The bank had already raised almost P2 Million through employee donations alone, a portion of which was already turned over to the AY Foundation, Inc. (AYF), the philanthropic arm of the bank’s parent conglomerate, the Yuchengco Group of Companies (YGC).

RCBC had also extended its full assistance to around 50 employees who were affected by the onslaught of super typhoon Yolanda by moving them to safer grounds and providing them with basic necessities like food and clothing.

Those who wish to donate may still do so using their RCBC MyWallet Card or RCBC ATM Card via the Bills Payment Option. They may also send their cash donations via the bank’s 24/7 Internet banking facility, the AccessOne or to any RCBC Branch nationwide.

Among all the other banking establishments that were damaged in Leyte’s city capital, the RCBC Tacloban Branch was the first to open and remained fully operational on November 20, 2013.

The fund raising campaign was done in cooperation with other employees from RCBC’s consumer finance arm, RCBC Savings Bank, and microfinance arm, Rizal Microbank.

Together with other companies under the YGC like Malayan Insurance, Mapúa Institute of Technology and EEI Corporation, all other donations and relief items from the RCBC Group are being coursed through the AYF. For more information, visit www.ayfoundation.com.ph.
