Open Spaces: New Zealand through the Lens of a Filipino features landscape photographs by renowned photographer Jose Mari “Mayie” Delgado.

This New Zealand landscape portfolio is a photographic narrative of his three recent visits to the North and South Islands, driving hundreds of kilometers from Auckland to Wellington, and from Christchurch to Queenstown. Mayie also took aerial photographs from a chartered plane over Milford Sound and surrounding areas. Captured by 35mm and medium format digital cameras, Open Spaces immortalizes the paradise landscapes of New Zealand.

About the artist

Jose Mari “Mayie” Delgado is a photographer and businessman who transgresses what is inevitable in his lens. Since childhood, Mayie’s photography has evolved from simplistic to artistic as he travelled the globe to capture beautiful abstract and landscape images.

Open Spaces is presented by the New Zealand Embassy in partnership with Philippine Airlines, and is supported by Fonterra Brands and Don Revy wines. ?
